ABOUT THE ONLINE COURSES:

1) Our instructors are not the ones teaching the online courses.

2) Although the course is completed online you still must physically go to a school location at a scheduled time with your own laptop to complete the course exit exam. The final exam is NOT an open book test. You must go to an approved proctor's location and take the exam without any notes or study aids. You may only bring a calculator, pencil, and scratch paper.

3) You must pay an additional Proctor Fee to take a procerted course exit exam for Unit I and also Unit II. The Proctor Fee varies depending on proctor location you choose.

4) You do have a limited number of attempts to take the exit exam and if you are unable to pass you will have to pay for and take the course again.

5) Course is a series of modules that include videos, reading assignments, activities, vocabulary, mix and match, and quizzes.

6)You do not receive a text book or hard copy materials with online courses.

7)Real time answers to any questions are not available with online course.

8)Classroom discussion with instructors or fellow students is not available with online course.

9) The above-mentioned exit exam taken at a proctor location is not to be confused with the state exam that is taken through the PSI testing center. The state exam is taken after passing the exit exam, sending in application to the SC Real Estate Commission, and receiving approval back from the SC Real Estate Commission.

10) As mentioned in the classroom setting you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss job opportunities with local real estate brokerage companies. Please be aware this is not available for online students taking this online format.

11) Online classes may be taken at your convenience as long as course is completed within the time frame stated in the Policy Section strictly for online courses. (Link can be found under # 11 below.) Your time spent being active in the online course is timed. You have to be actively participating in the course lessons for at least 60 Hours. If you spend 15 hours a week taking the course online you will complete the course in approximately four weeks. If you spend 10 hours a week taking the course online you will complete the course in approximately 6 weeks.
Furthermore, the same applies for taking the Unit II 30 Hour course online. You will be timed and must actively participate in the Unit II course for an additional 30 Hours. If you spend 10 hours a week taking the course online you will complete the Unit II course in approximately three weeks.
Remember as stated above after course completion you have to physically go to a proctor location to take the course exit exam for Unit I and also for Unit II, as well as pay the fee for each proctored exam, which is not to be confused for the state licensing exam.

12) All class refunds, technical issues, course issues, etc. will be handled by the online provider (888-827-0777) and The Real Estate School of SC Columbia office (803-791-3800).
